Resolved Question: I'm moving to Los Angeles and I need alot of info on what I need and a good place to live at in a studio apt.?

I will be mving there around June 2011, I will be 18, I have a 6-speed JEEP ( should I keep it or get an automatic transmission cause I heard the traffic sucks, but I love in Houston so maybe it'll be the same) I am basically going up there with a vehicle a moth supply o clothes and my bass guitar ( moving out there to follow my dreams of becoming a famous musician. And I was just wanting to know of a good area to live in where I can work while doing my music, but also has a fun night life ( because like all teenagers I like to drink and party ) as gay as that is to type. But I'm trying to get ALL the info in here cause well I'm MOVING my whole life there. So if you could tell me some good studio apartments, if I should go with a room mate, or ANY little tid bit of information that I can find useful, like how much money I should go there to start off with and what that money would be used for. cause as I said before this is my whole future I'm talking about....
